Research project

Adaptative Optics: a Sharper Vision of the Universe

Project summary

Astronomy is a science where the observations of extremely distant objects are the single source of information. Therefore, today’s Astronomy observations rely on state-of-the-art instrumentation and key innovative technology. Through a multi-disciplinary project taking his roots in astronomy and new technological development, our project aims at offering a sharper view of the Universe to astronomers, and a larger audience. The project is led by Pr. Andres Guesalaga, from the Pontificia Universidad Catolica [PUC] of Santiago, Chile, an internationally recognized senior scientist in the field of astronomical instrumentation.
