An evening where art and culture meet climate action 

Join Tara DePorte, lead curator and coordinator of the Creative Climate Awards (CCA), and the Human Impacts Institute on Friday 7 February at the Marseille 3013 art gallery to celebrate the transformative role of art in addressing the climate crisis.

With the theme Inspiring Futures, this event brings together artists, organisations, initiatives and people committed to climate and social justice, all united by a vision of a more united and resilient world in the face of climate challenges.

Learning, imagining and committing to the future of our planet and our city

Marseille’s Green Map: A collaborative map showcasing over 130 local initiatives driving positive environmental and social change.

Admire inspiring works: 14 artists and more than 28 talented children from Marseille share their vision for a sustainable future for the city. Artists : Sophia Lemonnier, Sonia Pintor, Tara DePorte, Stephan Pacher, Fabien Miart, Elies Samix, Nicole Disante, Sharon Tulloch, Faryel Atek, Margot Megier, Julia Gat, Nomen Turki, Johanna Brouquier, and Claire Olivier, and the CE1 class from Elementaire Leverrier.

Explore innovative solutions: Presentations by organisations addressing climate and societal challenges, including interviews with Le Grand Bleu, Tiers-Lab des transitions/LICA, Yes We Camp!, La Base Marseille, Clean My Calanques, and more.

Launch of the Creative Climate Communication Lab

Following on from the work carried out during her residency at Iméra between September 2021 and January 2022, Tara DePorte and her team at the Human Impacts Institute have also just launched their Creative Climate Communication Lab in New York.

This innovative lab blends art, science, and storytelling to inspire climate action and empower communities. Through collaborations with artists, scientists, and cultural leaders, the lab aims to:

  • Foster meaningful dialogue on climate solutions.
  • Engage diverse audiences.
  • Drive impactful change.
