research chair world of labour

The latest CNRS Humanities and Social Sciences newsletter highlights Iméra. The work of two of our recent residents, Ewan Oiry and Carole Baudin, is in the spotlight.

During his five-month residency in Marseille, Ewan conducted intensive research on a current topic: “Artificial Intelligence Serving Workers and Society?” Carole, who just completed her residency, worked on the “Sensitive Transitions” project, which explores how ongoing transformations in the world of work deeply impact the “sensitive” dimensions of labor.
Their residencies were made possible through a partnership between CNRS Humanities and Social Sciences, the LEST research laboratory (Laboratory of Economics and Sociology of Work – CNRS/AMU), and Iméra. They are the first holders of this CNRS/LEST/Iméra research chair.
In its July 2024 issue, the CNRS Humanities and Social Sciences newsletter features interviews with Ewan and Carole and explains the collaboration between the institutions around this research chair as well as the researcher recruitment process.
