With the support of ArtLib, the APSE (Association for Sociology in Enterprise) welcomes Sophie Bernard for a conference on the work of Uber drivers. A professor of sociology at Université Paris-Dauphine and co-president of the French Association of Sociology, Sophie Bernard will present her research conducted among Uber drivers in Paris, London, and Montreal. She explores the working conditions of these independent, often racialized workers, who face intensified exploitation through digital platforms.

What are the effects on working conditions? What management model is used? What are the implications for combating inequality?
