Building a collective around a theoretical/social theme

Former residents of Iméra, both artists and/or scientists, the residents concerned are appointed by the scientific direction of Iméra on the basis of an innovative project. They have a 12-month multi-year residence spread over two or three years.

Inserted in one of the four research programmes of Iméra (‘Arts & Sciences: Indisciplined Knowledge, ‘Interdisciplinary Dialogues, ‘Mediterranean and ‘Necessary Utopias), their projects include the construction of a collective research workshop on a topic relevant from a theoretical and/or social point of view.

Each workshop brings together researchers, artists, experts and members of civil society as well as researchers-residents of Iméra (see annual residencies) in a cross-sectoral and transdisciplinary spirit, around a topic of great theoretical and/or social relevance.

Offered at the doctoral and master level courses of Aix Marseille Université and those supported by the CIVIS network, these workshops participate in the support of high-level research training.

This device also gives time to prepare an ERC application or a large-scale artistic project.
