Trembling Lacunas: An Immersive Ethnography of the Fragile Rhizome of the Mediterranean Sea
Project summary
Trembling Lacunas is artistic research project aimed to shed light on unfilled gaps in the understanding and illuminate the sensory aspects of life, labor and the socio-political issues at play in the Mediterranean. As an filmmaker/ artist i’m inspired by how sound and the moving image can convey embodied, corporeal experience whilst carrying humanistic narratives that spectators can identify with. Using the latest technologues in 360 degree VR video along with conventional video methods, I envision a series of immersive ethnographic portraits guided by rhizomic principles of systemic multiplicity and interconnectedness.
